Frederick Coulton Waugh (1896-1973) was a British born artist, cartoonist, textile designer, and author. Coulton Waugh was born on March 10, 1896 in Cornwall, England. He was the third generation of artistic Waughs. His grandfather, Samuel Bell Waugh, was a prosperous portrait painter in Philadelphia.
